  8.    We've included two Microsoft Access 7.0 compatible
  9. databases, FoxLoss.mdb and Dyers.mdb, on the disc. These
  10. databases contain some information compiled from Fox's
  11. Regimental Losses and Dyer's Compendium Part 2. The FoxLoss
  12. database contains a large number of basic regimental 
  13. loss statistics. The Dyer's database contains a large
  14. table from Part 2 that details virtually every significant
  15. military activity in the Civil War categorized by state, 
  16. location, type of action, and date. The virtue of having
  17. this data in a database is the ability to select and
  18. organize by any of the fields. It's easy for example to
  19. select all "Skirmish" actions that occured between two
  20. date ranges.
  21.    The databases are a new work and are copyrighted by
  22. Guild Press, and may not be copied for others.
